Carers' Debt Repayment Scheme Off to Slow Start

Only 2,400 of an estimated 230,900 unpaid carer cases (1.04%) were reviewed in the first five months of the DWP's £75m three-year scheme, with 100 carers repaid £40,000. Campaigners warn at this pace completion would take around 40 years.
